"A sense of freedom is something that, happily, comes with age and life experience." - Diane Keaton

Recovery is a central and recurrent theme in the lives of January 5 people. Not ones to be kept down for very long, those born on this day have a surprising capacity for comebacks - gradual or dramatic recoveries from disadvantageous situations, either of a personal or social nature. On the personal side this may mean overcoming illness, catastrophe or just plain bad luck: on the social side regaining lost status or leading a group to restore its standing. Needless to say, January 5 people are very resilient. They bounce back from injuries and accidents of all types. Even more impressive is their ability to recover from emotional disappointments or rejection. This is due, ultimately, to their bedrock of self-confidence and their capacity to leave the past behind and move on.

ADVICE: Remember to remain flexible and spontaneous. You may not have it all figured out. Do not be afraid to ask for help or guidance from others. Guard what keeps life worth living.

STRENGTHS: Serious, Resilient, Resourceful

WEAKNESSES: Overconfident, Stuck, Complacent

Karma for the 9 of Spades - Universality

NINE  of Spades: The UNIVERSAL GIVER Card: This is the strongest of the universal nines, with the strongest call towards letting go and completions in life. Among these people you will find those whose lives are filled with losses, and others whose lives are filled with giving and fulfillment. These people can never completely ignore their inherent spirituality or psychic side. Those that acknowledge this important part of themselves are guided to a life of universal giving. In this regard, some of them can make the greatest contributions to the world. Many are successful artists, teachers, or performers. The King of Hearts Karma and Venus card gives them strong emotional and love power and wisdom that can bring much success to them as well as guide them through some of the endings they are sure to encounter. Many are artistically talented. The broader the scope of their work, and the more they focus on giving to larger groups, the more their inherent power shines and they rise to prominence on their mission of love.

NINE  of Spades (Swords) in Tarot

nine of spadesNINE of Spades: Sensitive, idealist, unconventional - none of the 9 of Spades are undeveloped or unaware, and it's that very awareness that either disturbs them or inspires them. The 9 of Spades people need to find a positive philosophical or spiritual ideal to help them cope with their intense inner-emotional conflicts. If not, then psychosomatic illnesses often develop and they may, for a time, be incapacitated for active work. All 9 of Spades have tremendous personal magnetism, and have a strong paternal nature toward those they love. The Nine of Spades will often be brought into contact with a wise and kindly man - a mentor who sets them back on their feet and instills in them the self-confidence that should never be lacking. These are truly gifted people with much to offer. If only they are made to realize it!  http://www.metasymbology.com/

CAPRICORN II The Week of DETERMINATION January 3-9: Those born in the Week of Determination often have the drive and ambition necessary to reach the top of their profession. Whether or not they succeed, no one can fault them for not trying. Capricorn II's are strivers, like the mountain goat who seeks the highest crags. Once embarked on a course of action, they are extremely difficult to dissuade from their plans. No matter how great or modest their gifts, Capricorn II's make the most of their abilities and stretch their talents to the outer edge of the envelope. Capricorn II's are usually pictured as hard-headed, down-to-earth thinkers, but those born in the Week of Determination are often interested in the theoretical, even metaphysical, religious or spiritual subjects and practices. More are their ideas in these areas at all conservative; they may in fact be rather radical. No idea is too strange or far out for Capricorn II's to at least consider and they have the undeniable tendency to let their minds range over the broadest questions of cosmology and human existence. This philosophical bent, however, is usually based on fact and observation, for Capricorn II's have little time for idle or ill-founded speculation.

Strengths: RESILIENT, RESOURCEFUL, THEORETICAL

Weaknesses: NAIVE, ARMORED, WORKAHOLIC

Advice: Recognize your limitations - they do exist. Allow yourself to give in occasionally, even to fail and acknowledge it. Showing your more vulnerable side should not be threatening. Try to keep your ideals grounded and be sure your "reality" is not in fact an illusion.

NOTABLE Capricorn II's: Richard Nixon, Alvin Ailey, Isaac Newton, Elvis  Presley, Louis Braille, Steven Hawking, Diane Keaton, Mel Gibson, Dyan Cannon, Chuck Noll, Victoria Principal, George Reeves, Raisa Gorbachev, Maury Powvitch, Earl Scruggs, Don Shula, Ray Milland, Source: The Secret Language of Relationships Gary Goldschneider & Joost Elffers.
