Aquarius

Aquarius is the eleventh sign of the zodiac, and Aquarians are the perfect representatives for the Age of Aquarius. Those born under this sign have the social conscience needed to carry us into the new millennium. These folks are humanitarian, philanthropic and keenly interested in making the world a better place.

AQUARIUS I: The Week of GENIUS: January 23-30

Although AQUARIUS I's may not necessarily be more intelligent than others in the year, they generally learn quickly and exhibit an alert, even high-strung demeanor. Like thoroughbreds, they are hot-blooded types, usually champing at the bit to get on with it. Patience is not one of their virtues, and AQUARIUS I's show a marked itchiness with those slower sorts who need time to express themselves and make decisions.

Strengths: Precocious - Unique - Self-Taught

Weaknesses: Reckless - Distracted - Stressed-Out

AQUARIUS I NOTABLES: Mozart, FDR, Oprah, Esther Louise Gregory, Paul Newman, Hadrian, W.C. Fields, Lewis Carroll.

ADVICE: Clarify a realistic picture of yourself in your mind's eye. A certain amount of undesirable personal interaction is always necessary: try to be more thick-skinned and, if necessary, downright insensitive. Cultivate calm, patience and persistence rather than always going your own way. Learn to handle frustration and be tough enough to quietly demand the very best for yourself.  Source: The Secret Language of Relationships, Gary Goldschneider & Joost Elffers.  January 23, January 24, January 25, January 26, January 27, January 28, January 29, January 30

AQUARIUS II: The Week of YOUTH and EASE January 31-February 7

"No hassles" could be the motto of most AQUARIUS II's. Listening to those born in this week, one would gather that they do not like trouble in any form and would do practically anything to avoid it. They value their happiness highly, both in the long term and in the short. AQUARIUS II's generally ask to be left alone to travel their own path with as little interference as possible. Not much interested in controlling others or meddling in their affairs, those born in this week are happy to accord the same treatment to other people that they  demand for themselves.

AQUARIUS III - The Week of ACCEPTANCE February 8-15

The theme of acceptance runs strong in the lives of Aquarius III's. Some of them are hardheaded and not particularly open to unusual ideas and people but become increasingly tolerant as the years go by. Others are overly accepting from an early age and allow themselves to be unduly manipulated or influenced by stronger, more selfish types. The challenge for Aquarius III's is to remain open to the world while at the same time retaining the ability to be selective in screening out harmful influences.

Strengths: LIVELY - INVENTIVE - AFFECTIONATE

Weaknesses: IRRITATED - VULNERABLE - NEEDY

ADVICEAccept your need for other people and cultivate meaningful social interaction. Remain open and accepting, but demand that others accept you as you are, too. Your psychic abilities are valuable - use them constructively. Beware of allowing rejection to lower your self-esteem.

AQUARIUS-PISCES CUSP - The Cusp of SENSITIVITY February 16-22

Those born on the Cusp of Sensitivity are often success-oriented individuals who give top priority to their career. They are usually fighters, an attitude sometimes based on underlying insecurity and the need to prove themselves. A chip-on-the-shoulder attitude in many Aquarius-Pisces makes them aggressive toward others and belligerent when attacked. A real personal challenge for Aquarius-Pisces, then, is to rediscover and acknowledge their inner makeup and to break down some of the barriers they have built up. The tough, even aggressive exterior of many born on the Aquarius-Pisces Cusp belies the sensitive  personality inside. Extremely vulnerable as children, Aquarius-Pisces react to criticism or abuse from others by building a wall around themselves. Carried with them into adulthood, this armor may give the impression of an inner self far different from the reality.

Strengths: Success-Oriented, Concerned, Caring

Weaknesses: Insecure, Pessimistic Isolated

ADVICE: Don't give up on the world or retreat behind fences. If necessary tear obstructions down to rediscover your sensitive self. Learning to trust may mean ceasing to fear. Without denying your need to explore the depths and the heights, take the middle road more often. February 16, February 17, February 18, February 19, February 20, February 21, February 22
