LEO

Leo is the fifth sign of the zodiac. These folks are impossible to miss, since they love being center stage. Making an impression is Job One for Leos, and when you consider their personal magnetism, you see the job is quite easy

LEO I - The Week of AUTHORITY July 26-August 2

Among the most powerfully authoritative of the year, Leo I's are intense, hard driving individuals, dedicated primarily to their own personal activities, growth and development. Asserting themselves and being taken seriously is what appeals to them. Also, much of their energy is channeled inward rather than outward, toward developing their own strengths and abilities. Yet they do not view themselves as the be-all and end-all either - far from it. They believe in ultimate higher value authorities, which they worship and serve: usually the abstract truths and principles embodied in the practice of their principal endeavor, whether it lies in the arts, business, sports or philosophy. Although they have their heroes, it is usually to these principles rather than to people that they accord the highest value.

Strengths: TRUTH-LOVING - LOYAL - PASSIONATE

Weaknesses: FRUSTRATED - DEMANDING - EGOTISTICAL

Advice: Learn to accept people as they are - both the positive and negative. It is probably useless to try to camouflage yourself, but do try to be more diplomatic and sensitive. Although you are good at making decisions for others, you may have overlooked making some crucial decisions for yourself. It doesn't make you less of a person to be a bit more easygoing;

LEO II - The Week of BALANCED STRENGTH August 3-10

Solid and tough, Leo II's do not back down from challenges; in fact, they thrive on them,and are often at their best when facing problems and difficulties. Although drawn toward experiences that hod an element of danger, they are usually not foolhardy enough to attempt the impossible. Realists, they are well aware of their limitations, which they may stretch to the limit if necessary but will rarely try to over leap. Fixed attitudes characterize those born in this week, so it will take a great deal of persistence to get them to change their mind. Leo II's pride themselves on their ability to spot phoniness and nonsense, and are particularly critical of metaphysical ideas not strongly grounded in the here and now.

Strengths: Devoted, Trustworthy, Physical

Weaknesses: Masochistic, Depressed, Guilty

ADVICE: Watch your temper. Hotheadedness can throw you off balance and aid your opponent.Compromise and diplomacy are virtues to be cultivated, not weaknesses to be despised. Remain open and vulnerable to love. Don't be too hard on yourself, or too demanding. Ease up a bit on the expectations you place on others.

LEO-VIRGO CUSP: The Cusp of EXPOSURE - August 19-25

Those born on the Leo-Virgo cusp are an interesting blend of introvert and extrovert. Leo-Virgo people combine the practical, earthly qualities of Virgo with the more intuitive, fiery traits of Leo, producing quietly inspired individuals who keep their light within. Some Leo-Virgos give a muted, almost nondescript first impression while concealing more flamboyant tendencies; others come across as exhibitionistic but are actually sensitive, private types. They may hide certain personal qualities, or facts about themselves, for years, but their inner flamboyance will break out periodically in even the most introverted of those born in this period when one day they reveal themselves to the world, in full awareness of what they are doing. Many of them will come to realize that self-concealment is futile the more they try to hide, the more the world seems to take notice of them. By aiming to be more transparent, letting others see what they really are instead of hiding, Leo-Virgos will even out some of their swings between introverted and extroverted behavior.

Strengths: Self-Contained - Observant - Flamboyant

Weaknesses: Narcissistic - Secretive - Non-sharing

ADVICE: Don't blame the world for not recognizing you if you hide yourself away. Be more transparent - let people see what you are really like. Beware of keeping secrets even from yourself. Allow others in, to share in both your joys and sorrows.
